About

Tepid Hummus is a 45-foot (14-meter) sport climb located in Ouray Rotary Park, situated on the right side of a slabby wall directly across from public restrooms. The route has an easy difficulty rating of 5.6 YDS and was first ascended by Thomas-Hepp. Climbers should look for a bolt line just before the rock face becomes overhung. The ascent involves climbing up and to the right past several bulges, with the crux located at an upper bulge. Holds are described as good, and directional bolts facilitate seconding for other climbers. The route shares a top anchor with San Juan Snake, a harder overhung line (approximately 5.10) to the right, which can be top-roped from Tepid Hummus's peak. The climb is accessible year-round, with parking available at the park and pet-friendly policies. Its proximity to town and facilities makes it a practical option for climbers of various skill levels.
