The Alien Traverse

The Alien Traverse is a boulder climbing route in the Telluride area of Western Colorado, situated at an elevation of 10,233 feet. The route is classified as moderate in difficulty and typically requires approximately four hours to complete. Accessible year-round from January through December, the site provides parking near the base and allows pets. The climb begins similarly to the Frosted Flake route, traversing right along slopey seams at the top of a bulge. Climbers navigate to a good right-hand sidepull before ascending to a guano-covered jug and then dropping off. There is no protection gear required for this specific traverse, making it a self-contained boulder problem. The area is served by local guide services offering instruction for various skill levels.
