The Mines of Moria is a 45-foot trad climb located on the Left Side of Dry Creek Crag in Montrose, Colorado. The route is rated 5.7 YDS with an R grade, indicating a long fall if protection fails. It is a wide crack feature situated on the far left side of the crag, next to a steep overhang and arete. The climb begins by entering a narrow, subterranean squeeze complex or tunnel-like section. Climbers exit this pinch point using face holds and offwidth techniques to ascend the main crack. The rock is described as friable, meaning it can crumble easily, so climbers should tread lightly. Parking is available at the site, and pets are permitted. The first ascent occurred in November 2024 by Herder and Curtis Beutler.
