The Original Growler: Pup 20 is a 20-mile mountain biking route located in Hartman Rocks, just north of Gunnison, Colorado. This route is primarily a race course but is ridden recreationally. It covers approximately 20 miles of trail, though some sources list a 25.4-mile variant. The terrain is singletrack-heavy with sections of doubletrack dirt and gravel roads. The climb is steep and rocky, and the route includes green, blue, and one black trail. The course climbs 2,545 feet with a maximum elevation of 8,357 feet. It is rated as difficult and suitable for experienced riders. The typical duration is about 8 hours. Access begins at IOOF Park in downtown Gunnison, where parking is available. The route is open from April through October. Pets are permitted on the trail.
