About

Twister is a short sport climbing route located on the Fault Wall at the Puoux crag, approximately 25 minutes west of Glenwood Springs in Western Colorado. The route sits on private property within the Defiance Cave Preserve and requires climbers to submit a waiver to the property manager before climbing. Twister follows a distinctive, melted-looking crack feature on an overhung wall and is characterized by difficult, awkward moves. It exits up and to the right over a lip to high anchors, allowing for top-roping on a thin, steepish face. The route is currently red-tagged and stands to the right of an older established route named Calico. With a length of 18 feet and a difficult rating, it offers a quick but technical challenge. Parking is available at the crag, and pets are permitted.
