Up and Away is a 0.7-mile moderate hiking trail located at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The trail serves as the primary climbing route for mountain bikers, who are restricted to uphill travel only, while hikers use it as a two-way path. The route gains approximately 420 feet in elevation, leading to a summit elevation of 9,693 feet. From the top of the trail, hikers can access the Columbine and Painter Boy trails, providing a connection to the Gold Link and Prospect trails as well as the Red Lady lift. The trail is accessible year-round with parking available at the trailhead.
