Upper Ed & Flo is a short, technical trail in the Twin Buttes system near Durango, Colorado. The route ascends from the junction with Lower Loop and Ed & Flo, winding through scrub oak to reach the Upper BC&F railroad bed. The terrain features several short, steep sections that require effort, making it a moderate climb. The trail is also known for its downhill options, offering a fun, whoopy descent through ponderosa pines with tight turns and rock obstacles. The route is approximately 1.1 miles long with an elevation gain of about 233 feet. Parking is available at the trailhead. Access is subject to seasonal closures by the BLM Tres Rios Field Office to protect wintering wildlife; trails are typically closed from December 1 through April 30, though they may open as early as April 15 depending on conditions.
