Upper Plumbers Crack is a connector trail within the Jumbo Mountain trail network near Paonia, Colorado. It serves as a link between the outer and inner sections of the Jumbo system, specifically connecting to Lower Plumbers Crack and The Crotch. The trail begins at a junction on Jumbo Ridge, situated at a flat section just below the upper steep sections. From this starting point, the trail extends a short distance to another junction where hikers can choose to descend left onto Lower Plumbers Crack or ascend right toward The Crotch and Desolation Basin. The route is classified as difficult with an elevation of 6,293 feet and a length of 0.5 miles. Parking is available in the vicinity. The trail is accessible year-round.
