About

The Valley Floor Connector Trail is a short, 0.6-mile extension of the main Valley Floor Trail in Telluride, Colorado. It heads south from the main trail up a spruce-covered hillside, then turns west to follow a ridge through pine and aspen groves. The trail is easy and relatively flat, suitable for casual walking or connecting to other routes. In spring, columbines grow under the trees. The trail ends at Highway 145, where hikers can walk along the road shoulder to return to the parking lot at the start of the Valley Floor Trail. Parking is available at Mahoney Drive or the Lawson Hill Park and Ride lot. The trail is accessible year-round and is part of the preserved Telluride Valley Floor open space.
