About
Woober's Day Out is a 50-foot rock climbing route located on Dead Horse Crag in Glenwood Canyon, near Glenwood Springs. The route is rated 5.11- and is classified as both trad and sport climbing. It was first ascended by Mike Schneiter and BJ Sbarra. The climb begins with clipping a bolt and pulling into a gently overhanging corner that resembles a closed book. The corner features awkward climbing with difficult gear placements. A small bulge in the corner is surmounted by careful stemming and protected by a #4 Camalot underneath. Above the bulge, the climbing becomes easier, leading to a good stance and an anchor located on the left face. The route is protected by bolts at the start and offers trad protection within the corner system. Parking is available at the crag, and pets are allowed. The elevation is 7,051 feet. When lowering out from the route, climbers land approximately 10 feet or more from the start.
