The Wulfsohn Trailhead serves as the access point for hiking in Wulfsohn Mountain Park, a 215-acre open space located above the Glenwood Meadows Shopping Center in Glenwood Springs. The primary route, Wulfsohn Trail, is classified as moderate and typically takes about two hours to complete. The trail begins at a large parking lot near the Glenwood Springs Community Center and follows an unpaved surface with an elevation range of approximately 5,800 to 6,043 feet. Hikers should expect a steady incline with some rocky sections and minimal shade. While the trail is generally accessible year-round, it is particularly noted for fall hiking from September through November. Conditions can vary, with potential for muddy or washed-out sections, making waterproof footwear advisable. The area allows leashed dogs and bicycles. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. The trail connects with other paths in the park, including the Defiance Trail.
