About
Zod the Immortal is a 35-foot (11 m) trad and sport route located on the left side of Misspent Youth Wall in the Land's End Area of Grand Mesa, near Grand Junction. The route sits at an elevation of 9,613 feet and is rated 5.10-. The climb begins by ascending thin fingers up a flake to a ledge, then continues up and right past two bolts on an exposed arete. Protection requires a finger-sized cam for the start, two quickdraws, and a two-bolt anchor. The first ascent was made by Garhart in September 2012. Access involves parking on the side of the road 1.8 miles south of the 'Y' at the top of Land's End Road. Climbers can approach on foot by walking down an obvious gully just west of the cliff or rappel from the route's anchors. The wall features high-quality, clean basalt.
