Bar D Chuckwagon

Operating since 1969, the Bar D Chuckwagon delivers a long-running live music and dining experience in Durango, Colorado. The evening begins at 4:30 with western activities and shops before the main event. Supper service starts at 6:30, with the dinner bell ringing at 6:45. Guests choose from sliced roast beef, boneless chicken breast simmered in barbecue sauce, or a flame-broiled rib eye steak, which must be ordered by 6:00. The meal is accompanied by potato, oven-baked beans, homemade biscuits with butter and honey, chunky applesauce, and home-baked spice cake. Beverages include cowboy coffee or real lemonade. Following the meal, the Bar D Wranglers perform live cowboy music and comedy, featuring songs and instrumentals from the old west. This family-friendly attraction operates rain or shine from Memorial Day Weekend through September.
