Since 1944, Bullocks Western Wear has anchored the corner of Grand Avenue and Eighth Street in Glenwood Springs as one of the Roaring Fork Valley’s oldest family-owned retail businesses. The original structure, formerly the upscale Hotel Glenwood, now houses a curated selection of western-style clothing and accessories for men and women. Shoppers find cowboy hats, boots, artwork, taxidermy, and home furnishings alongside the store’s signature Doc Holliday Collection. This museum-quality exhibit occupies a dedicated space within the retail floor, celebrating the life and legend of the gunslinger who spent his final days in town. Visitors pay a five-dollar admission to explore authentic memorabilia and vintage photos that highlight the Old West history embedded in the community. Bullocks distinguishes itself as the first retail store in the country to carry Tecovas, while also introducing exclusive lines like Lovlei. The Marilyn Monroe ‘Wildcat’ boots by HYER, reimagined from the footwear worn in The Misfits, feature a 13-inch shaft and underslung heel, blending heritage craftsmanship with modern style. The store maintains regular hours from 10 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday, and 10 AM to 5 PM on Sundays.
