Durango Arts Center

We operate as a nonprofit hub for visual and performing arts in Durango, enriching the Four Corners region through innovative exhibits, live theater, and education. Our Durango Arts Repertory Theater company delivers four to five professional productions and six children’s shows each year to an audience of over 5,000 patrons. We invite local artists to collaborate through auditions, rentals, and production assistance, fostering a diverse artistic community. Inside our Barbara Conrad, Art Library, and Entrada/Arriba Gallery spaces, we host approximately 25 progressive art exhibitions annually, featuring local, national, and international talent. Each exhibition is accompanied by workshops, demonstrations, lectures, and film screenings. Our education division enrolls an average of 1,300 children and adults in various workshops and camps. We also coordinate more than 80 community events, including artist lectures and theater performances. Our signature event is the Durango Autumn Arts Festival, the region’s largest outdoor fine arts and fine craft showcase, which draws over 7,000 guests to downtown Durango. Through these programs, we engage over 500 artists annually and support the thriving arts scene in our community.
