Durango Vineyard Church

Wednesday nights at 6:15pm mark our gathering time, drawing neighbors to our new building just off Highway 160 in Durango. We meet outdoors under the open sky, inviting you to dress for the weather as we build authentic community and serve our city. Our mission centers on creating a Jesus-centered culture, believing that the gospel belongs to everyone from the rich and poor to citizens and migrants, singles and married believers.

Leadership flows through our team of pastors, including Senior Pastor Daniel (DJ) Jergensen and Brian Firle, who serves as Pastor of Spiritual Formation. Youth Director Tommy Perry and Children’s Director Teresa Sutherland guide the next generation, while Kyle Beard leads worship and arts. A dedicated builder team supports our operations, with Kenley Jacques as Service Director, Vanessa Jergensen overseeing youth activities, and Jeff Sutherland managing missions and outreach. Kelly Brown ensures the nursery runs smoothly, and Teresa also leads children’s ministry alongside her director role.

Our elder team, featuring Jim Grizard and Kirk Yamaguchi, provides spiritual oversight alongside the pastoral staff. We believe God has commissioned us to contribute to the healing and restoration of the world, striving first to become shaped into Christ-likeness ourselves.
