About

Fellin Park, also known as Hot Springs Park, sits directly adjacent to the Ouray Hot Springs Pool in a parcel deeded to the City of Ouray by the Fellin family in 1924. The grounds feature a quarter-mile asphalt track, a skate park, and basketball courts alongside picnic areas and a gazebo. A central highlight is the Smokey Joe Wood baseball field, named for the famous pitcher who played there as a child. Residents and visitors utilize these spaces for softball games, foot and bicycle races, concerts, and community movie nights. The park serves as the primary gathering spot for viewing 4th of July fireworks and hosts numerous private events, including weddings and reunions. Facilities are available for reservation through the City of Ouray, with options to rent specific zones or the entire park. Special Event Permits are required for selling goods or providing alcohol at public gatherings.
