Colby Townsend’s journey to Hayden Fresh Farm began with a childhood fascination for chickens, leading him from raising his first flock at age thirteen to earning a B.S. in Animal Science from Virginia Tech. After two decades operating a feed store in Steamboat Springs, where he earned the nickname "The Chicken Man," Colby transitioned from hobbyist to full-time producer, focusing on quality eggs and pork. Today, our farm supplies fresh cartons of eggs directly to local kitchens and partners with Yampa Valley Foods for exclusive pork products. We also provide hay, a service Colby has perfected over the years, ensuring neighbors receive honest, high-quality goods. Our mission is simple: to bring the best of ranch life into your home through our breakfast eggs and dinner table pork. We take pride in every carton we sell and every bale of hay we delivered, maintaining the personal touch that has defined our business since its inception.
