About
Circuit rider Rev. F.G. Boylan founded the local Methodist church in 1895, establishing a presence in Steamboat Springs that endures today. The congregation purchased the land at 736 Oak Street in 1896 for $350, leading to the construction of the first building in 1901 which served the town until the fall of 1951. Following a May 1959 groundbreaking, the current sanctuary dedicated on March 20, 1960, was built for $60,000 through member donations. Sunday worship occurs at 8:30 am in the sanctuary or at 10 am outside on 8th Street, with options to watch online via livestream or catch the sermon anytime through a "Fast Forward" feature. The community embraces all people as they travel the journey of life and faith together.
