North Fork Campground

Twenty-eight standard sites spread across a towering aspen grove define North Fork Campground, situated at 7,800 feet within the White River National Forest near Meeker. Most campsites open directly toward the North Fork of the White River, offering views of the valley while maintaining privacy through a dense understory of tall grass and wild roses. The campground accommodates tents, trailers, and RVs, though electrical hook-ups are absent. Essential amenities include picnic tables, campfire rings, drinking water, and vault toilets. Firewood is available on-site, and bear-proof food lockers at each site help manage local wildlife interactions. Visitors can access fly fishing along the river, which holds rainbow, brown, cutthroat, and brook trout, or explore nearby OHV trails such as the East Beaver-Yellow Jacket Road. Hiking and mountain biking opportunities exist via the Lost Creek Trail and Long Park Trail, while elk, deer, and moose frequently appear in the surrounding forested peaks.
