Ouray Public Library

The Ouray Public Library stands at 320 6th Avenue, serving as a year-round hub for education and recreation in Ouray. Operating Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, with extended Saturday hours during the summer months, the facility caters to a diverse range of readers and researchers. The collection spans fiction, nonfiction, young adult, and youth books, alongside periodicals, movies, audio materials, and digital e-resources. A defining feature is the special collection dedicated to Ouray and Ouray County history, which includes bound annual volumes of The Alpinist magazine, reflecting the town’s strong outdoor culture.
