Powderhorn Mountain Resort

Since 1966, Powderhorn Mountain Resort has served as a year-round destination along the northern rim of the Grand Mesa, the world’s largest flattop mountain. Our location in Mesa, Colorado, provides over 1,600 acres of terrain, including 250 inches of light powder snow annually for skiing and snowboarding. We cater to families with 70% beginner and intermediate runs, supported by a full-service Ski & Ride Center and Bike Center for equipment rentals and base area dining. The addition of the Flat Top Flyer high-speed detachable quad lift allows us to offer lift-served downhill mountain biking on trails ranging from easy to difficult. Summer operations include the Powderhorn Bike Park, open Fridays through Sundays, featuring rock gardens, drops, and jumps for riders of all levels. We also host special events like our BBQ Themed Fine-Dining Series, featuring elevated courses with drink pairings. Our rebranding initiative honors our western roots and original 1960s logo, reflecting our commitment to providing an authentic adventure for guests seeking cleaner air and a slower pace.
