About
Bill Eaves constructed a round, hogan-styled building to house his wife Brenda’s Native American Artworks, creating a distinctive architectural anchor for Rainbow Gift Shop in Pagosa Springs. Since 1973, when the Eaves family first moved to town and started as a small addition to their taxidermy business, the shop has grown into a multi-generational family enterprise. Today, Brenda works alongside her grandchildren, Gene and Jamie, maintaining a nostalgic atmosphere that avoids big-box gimmicks. The facility now operates three distinct areas under one roof, offering an eclectic mix of souvenirs, rocks and minerals, and Native American art. Shoppers can explore polished and raw stones from around the world, covering interests in geology and metaphysics. The Native American Art section features handmade jewelry, pottery, carvings, and paintings by artists across the Southwest, catering to a wide range of budgets. The souvenir area stocks keychains, magnets, mugs, stickers, shot glasses, ornaments, and shirts. A notable service is the free gift wrapping, which is done by hand with special embellishments. This long-standing establishment preserves its legacy through honest pricing and a curated selection of items that reflect the family's deep connection to the local community.
