Rio Blanco County Fair Grounds

The Rio Blanco County Fair Grounds in Meeker serve as a central hub for agricultural and civic life, housing the Rio Blanco County Weed Department and the Colorado State University Cooperative Extension Office. The facility supports a wide array of events, most notably the Rio Blanco County Fair and the Range Call Celebration and Rodeo, alongside various 4-H activities. The weed department operates from this location, providing equipment calibration services for spraying machinery and treating noxious weeds on a priority basis for the county. Contracted services are billed at $50 an hour per truck, covering the sprayer, fuel, and one person, with charges running from arrival to departure on the property. A deposit for estimated charges is required before work begins, and herbicide costs are separate from labor charges. The grounds also accommodate other recreational and educational functions for the local community.
