San Juan Soda Co

Housed in a building that dates back to the 1870s silver mining boom, San Juan Soda Company operates as a classic soda fountain on North Silver Street in downtown Lake City. The Hartman family has run this historic pharmacy-turned-fountain since 1988, serving treats from a fountain bar and an antique malt mixer. The menu features over 30 flavors of ice cream made by Ann and Mann's in Colorado Springs, whipped into shakes or served as sundaes and banana splits. Guests can order espresso drinks featuring Camp 4 coffee from Crested Butte, including affogatos, or enjoy old-fashioned sodas. The establishment also functions as a gift shop carrying toys, apparel, art prints, and locally-sourced goods made in the USA. Visitors often relax on the patio facing the town park before or after their meal. Everything on the menu is available for takeout.
