Soda Creek Elementary School

The TJ Sisto Award from Brighter World Child Advocacy Center recognizes our district’s deep commitment to trauma-informed practices and mental health support. Soda Creek Elementary School educates the children of Steamboat Springs in a supportive environment that promotes personal growth. Our mission centers on helping students become confident, resilient, and empowered individuals equipped for an ever-changing global community. We uphold core values of striving for excellence, persevering to reach full potential, accountability, respect for ourselves and others, and kindness within our school and the wider community. The award carries the legacy of TJ Sisto, a longtime Routt County Sheriff’s Office member and dedicated advocate for children and victims, known for his compassion and empathy. We work closely with local organizations, agencies, mental health professionals, and law enforcement partners to ensure every child receives the care they need.
