Strings Music Festival

Our 569-seat Strings Pavilion anchors Steamboat’s musical life, hosting over 60 performances each summer from June through August. Now in our 38th year, we present a genre-spanning lineup featuring classical musicians from top orchestras alongside chart-topping contemporary artists. The repertoire covers orchestra, chamber music, soloists, world, blues, jazz, and rock. We keep accessibility central by offering more than 60% of our programs for free, including weekly summer concerts at Yampa River Botanic Park. Beyond the stage, we deliver Strings School Days, an education initiative that serves over 3,500 kindergarten through high school students across 25 Yampa Valley schools at no cost to participants. Our schedule extends well beyond the summer months with a dedicated fall, winter, and spring series alongside year-round educational programming.
