Sugar Mamas' Bakeshop and Cafe

Tanquerae, owner and lead baker at Sugar Mamas' Bakeshop and Cafe, has relocated her award-winning shop to 105 West Main Street in Cedaredge. The bakery was voted Best Bakery by the Delta County Independent for five consecutive years, from 2021 through 2025. The menu shifts with the seasons to reflect ingredient availability, featuring a wide array of handmade pastries, artisan breads, and muffins baked fresh daily. Sandwiches are served on homemade-from-scratch bread with in-house sliced meats, while the full-service coffee bar offers local, organic espresso in light and dark roasts.

Custom cake and sweet orders are a specialty, with options ranging from chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies to French macaroons with buttercream or fruit fillings. The sourdough selection includes rolls, boules, oval loaves, and triangle loaves in flavors such as rye with caraway or fennel seeds, jalapeno & cheddar, and roasted garlic & rosemary. Yeast breads include cranberry walnut, dill pickle, and sundried tomato & parmesan varieties. Babka comes in chocolate or Nutella flavors, while brioche and challah round out the bread case. Muffins and scones feature blueberry, banana nut, and lemon flavors. Bars include pecan pie cheesecake and toffee varieties, while sweet rolls offer blueberry, lemon, pumpkin, and cinnamon. Crossiants come in butter or ham and cheese flavors.

Cakes and cupcakes are available in numerous flavors including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, pumpkin spice, carrot, cookies n’ cream, lemon, coconut, red velvet, and champagne. Frosting options range from almond and caramel to marshmallow and cream cheese, with fillings such as peanut butter, fruit compote, chocolate ganache, lemon curd, and bavarian cream. The shop is wheelchair accessible, accepts credit cards, and has parking available.
