Sweet Mountain Charmer in Town - Near Telluride, Ouray - All!
About
Built in the 1950s as Polly's Motel & Restaurant, Timber Ridge Lodge sits just steps from Box Canyon Falls, offering direct access to snowmobiling, Nordic skiing, fly fishing, and the Ouray Hot Springs. Brian and Julie Duckles purchased the property on Christmas Eve 2017, transforming the historic stop for adventurers and road trippers into a modern mountain retreat. The rooms blend rustic charm with contemporary style, featuring comfortable beds and thoughtful amenities designed for restful sleep. Each space is unique and personally cared for, catering to families, couples, solo travelers, and adventure seekers. Upper-level guest rooms are accessible via approximately 15 stairs, as there is no elevator. We focus on simple hospitality, helping guests plan scenic jeep adventures on Black Bear Pass or Engineer Pass, recommending hiking trails in the Uncompampgre Wilderness, and pointing visitors toward natural hot springs. Our goal is to provide a warm welcome after a long drive through the mountains, creating lifelong memories in this corner of the San Juan Mountains.
