Wiesbaden Hot Springs Spa & Lodgings
About
Built in 1879 as Mother Buchanan's Bath House, our historic European-style mountain retreat offers natural hot springs flowing from the San Juan Mountains. We feature three distinct soaking options: a signature 108-degree vapor cave, one of only two commercially operated in the United States; an outdoor geothermal mineral pool heated to 100-106 degrees; and The Lorelei, a private outdoor soaking pool with a cascading waterfall. Water temperatures range from 85 to 134 degrees, and we are the only clothing-optional hot spring experience on property. The Lorelei is available by reservation and fully screened for privacy. Our untreated water contains beneficial minerals, a combination often paired with our spa massage services for therapeutic relief. We offer thoughtfully curated accommodations including guest rooms, suites, a hillside cottage, and a historic house listed on the Historic Register. Our spacious three-bedroom home sits above the property, providing additional space for guests. We cater to adults and children over 12 years old, with appointment-required services, wheelchair accessibility, parking available, and insurance accepted. Our San Juan mountain views frame this tranquil setting where the Ute Indians once deemed these healing waters sacred.
