Cosmic Trap — Halloween Night Shoot

Get ready to light up the night and break some clays! Montrose Rod & Gun Club is hosting Cosmic Trap: Halloween Night Shoot on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Outdoor Range.

This isn’t your ordinary night of trap. We’ll be shooting fluorescent clay targets under cosmic blacklights, surrounded by Halloween atmosphere and the Colorado night sky. Whether you’re a seasoned trap shooter or just want to come try something different, all skill levels are welcome.

The gate opens at 7:00 PM, and shooting begins at 7:30 PM.

Rounds are 25 targets each:

• MRGC Members — $7 per round
• Non-Members — $9 per round

And keep your eyes open for the green targets! Break a green target, and you’ll win $5.

The additional $2 per round is going toward raising funds for a Conex container for additional target storage, so every round you shoot helps improve the club.

What to Bring

Bring your shotgun, ammunition, eye protection, and hearing protection. We’ll provide the targets—and the cosmic glow.
