About this event
What does it mean to truly belong to yourself? Your sovereignty is your ability to stand rooted in who you are-to trust yourself, honor what you want, listen to your inner knowing, and move through life from a place of choice rather than expectation. In this two-hour experiential workshop, taught by visiting teacher, Helen Sage, we’ll explore what sovereignty means and, more importantly, what it feels like in your body. We’ll begin with a guided Five-Senses Reality Meditation to connect with the version of you who feels grounded, free, and fully alive. From there, you’ll be invited to notice where resistance, fear, or old patterns arise-and where you feel them physically in your body. Through an intentional Forrest Yoga practice, we’ll work with that area of the body: bringing it attention, movement, breath, acceptance, and nurturing. Rather than forcing anything to change, we’ll create space to soften what has been held and allow the body to release what it is ready to let go of. We’ll close with a deeply restorative Savasana accompanied by sound bowls, giving your body and nervous system time to integrate. Come exactly as you are. Leave a little more rooted in yourself, connected to your inner knowing, and grounded in the truth that your life belongs to you! Helen is a Forrest Yoga Ambassador with over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 500 hours of training in Forrest Yoga. She weaves elements of both the physical and spiritual worlds into her teaching-mainly because she just can’t help it! With a background in Athletic Training, along with her work as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, psychic, and VITA Coach, Helen brings a depth of knowledge and intuitive understanding to her teaching that extends far beyond the yoga mat. Her fun-loving, authentic personality creates a welcoming space where students are encouraged to show up exactly as they are, connect more deeply with themselves, and discover what their bodies have to teach them. When she isn’t teaching or helping others reconnect with themselves, you’ll most likely find Helen at home with her kids or out in the mountains, soaking up all the beauty and aliveness they have to offer.
