Dragon Asana

Desirae Penton-Crosley founded Dragon Asana in Gunnison, bringing over 2,500 hours of training and more than 10,000 hours of teaching experience to the Western Slope. Our method combines exact alignment with mindful inquiry, rooted in the I Ching and symbolized by the Blue Dragon, to help practitioners cultivate resilience, awareness, and lasting growth. We offer personalized yoga sessions, comprehensive teacher trainings, intensive training sessions, and one-on-one deep dive sessions. Desirae’s approach blends precision, curiosity, and compassion, incorporating Reiki and sound experiences to deepen connection. Our team includes Manager Leia Morrison, a 500-E-RYT educator with over 28 years of experience who bridges traditional practice with modern nervous system understanding, and Shelly Clements, a professional dancer offering mat classes that blend gentle sequences with strength. Together, we create spaces where students of all backgrounds feel supported, challenged, and inspired on their journey both on and off the mat.
