Sonia Leigh: San Juan Songwriters Festival 2026

Sonia Leigh is a Nashville-based, genre-blending artist and BMG songwriter whose raw,
boundary-pushing sound fuses country, rock, pop, and hip-hop with fearless storytelling and
chart-topping edge. Born in Lakeland, Florida, she got her start in the vibrant Atlanta music
scene and is now based in Nashville, Tennessee. She first broke through with her major label
debut 1978 December and penned #1 hits for Zac Brown Band. She’s since had her songs
featured in multiple Television shows, movies and video games. Her 2025 record “Songs About
Ghosts” is rooted in Americana and Rock with flavors of Motown.
