A. RELEASE THE PHS RAZORBACK AND BONYTAIL May 1, 2026, 11:15 am at
Riverbend Park, Harky’s Boat Launch and Swim Beach. Join Palisade High School, the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Upper Colorado River Endangered Fish Recovery
Program, and the local community in releasing the 1500th student-raised endangered fish
into the Colorado River! This year’s fish are some of the biggest, healthiest fish grown at
PHS. Come speak to the expert student fish hatchery technicians about how the fish were
raised, kiss a fish, and release it into the Colorado River.
B. PALISADE FARM FEST May 2, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Park and in downtown

C. DRIP – Drought Response Information Project, Mesa County – Mesa County is

X. NEW BUSINESS
A. Appoint Mayor Pro-Tem
The Board of Trustees will appoint a Mayor Pro-Tem per Palisade Municipal Code
Article II, Section 2-24, for a two-year term.

Board of Trustees as Mayor Pro-Tem.
B. RESOLUTION 2026-06 – Fee Schedule Update for Fire Department Fees
The Board of Trustees will consider Resolution 2026-06, updating various fees for the
Palisade Fire Department.

C. Colorado Water Trust Water Use Agreement
The Board of Trustees will consider directing the Town Manager to enter into an
agreement to release up to 200 acre-feet of water from Reudi Reservoir to the Colorado
Water Trust.

XI. PUBLIC COMMENT
All those who wish to speak during public comment must sign up on the sheet provided
outside the boardroom doors. Please keep comments to 3 MINUTES OR LESS and state
your name and address. Neither the Board of Trustees nor staff will respond to comments at this
time. The Board may direct staff to look into specific comments to bring back as an Agenda item
at a future meeting; however, the Board reserves the right to clarify information from comments
that are factually incorrect.
All emails sent to the Town Clerk for public comment will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees.
Any member of the public who wishes to have a statement or email read to the Board of Trustees
is required to appear in person and make said statements to the Board directly.

A. Drought Response
• State of Palisade Watershed
Cabin Reservoir is full
Springs are still flowing
• DRIP – Drought Response Information Project
Town is partner in DRIP – utilizes for public information on drought
• Discussion on Palisade irrigating grass in parks – comes from Canals, the CO
River
• Discussion if Town places restrictions on water use ~ lawn watering? Rates?
B. Community Development Commission
• Why discuss opportunity for Community Development Commission?
• Currently, both Tourism & Planning Commissions do not have a quorum.
• The Trustees need to advertise and select new members.
• A new Board of Trustees can discuss town tourism and planning.
• Create a new direction forward with commission, planning, tourism, marketing.
