Construction has begun for Aspen Armory Hall redevelopment project
Aspen, CO – Construction is now underway on the Aspen Armory Hall redevelopment project, located at 130 S. Galena St. The city of Aspen, in partnership with general contractor Shaw Construction, is executing the project redeveloping the historic structure into a food hall and community event space. Work is scheduled for completion in fall 2028.
Active construction hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No construction will take place during the Aspen Saturday Market. Parking, pedestrian walkways, and access routes around the project area will be affected throughout construction and may change as work progresses.

Additionally, the city of Aspen has launched a request for proposals seeking an experienced hospitality operator to activate and manage Armory Hall once construction is complete. The proposal package is now available through BidNet Direct at www.bidnetdirect.com/colorado/city-of-aspen. Proposals must be submitted electronically on BidNet by Wednesday, Sept. 2.
