Residents can drop off pumpkins on November 1 and leaves on November 8 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds for sustainable disposal.

Durango, CO: **The annual pumpkin drop-off will take place on Nov. 1, followed by leaf collection on Nov. 8. Both events will be held at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, located at 2500 Main Ave.

These special waste collection events offer a sustainable way to dispose of jack-o'-lanterns and leaves.

Local ranches feed pumpkins, gourds, and fruit to animals, while leaves are composted. Residents can also come pick up leaves for free to use in their home gardens.
