Residents can submit feedback on Buckley Park Master Plan design concepts, including layout approaches and site materials, until September 9.

Durango, CO: **The City of Durango reminds residents that they can provide feedback on preliminary design concepts for the Buckley Park Master Plan through Sept. 9.

Residents can vote on their favorite design concepts for things like hillside improvements, site materials, and event stage concepts. Participants may also weigh in on three overall layout approaches. Input gathered will help shape a refined vision for future park improvements.

The city held two engagement events earlier this summer, including an on‑site public workshop at Buckley Park on June 15 and a presentation of design concepts on Aug. 19. The park was also discussed at the June 8 meeting for the PD/City Hall project.

The city also conducted in‑person outreach to hear directly from park users and neighbors. These conversations guided the development of preliminary concepts now available for community review.

Buckley Park, acquired by the City from Durango School District, is a highly valued community space that currently lacks several amenities. The Master Plan aims to strengthen the park’s long‑term resilience, integrate surrounding projects, and reflect community priorities.

Feedback can be submitted on the Buckley Park Master Plan project page on Engage Durango.
