About

Alpha.1 is a V0 boulder located in the Alpha-Beta-Gamma-Delta Block within Ute Valley Park, Delta County, Colorado. The formation stands approximately 12 feet high and offers a short, technical climb suitable for beginners and those with moderate experience. The route begins at the top of the first tier, requiring a dynamic jump (dyno) to reach a chickenhead hold on the second tier. It is situated on the far right side of the Alpha Boulder cluster. Access to the site is currently open following previous flood damage, though climbers are advised to check rock integrity for safety. Parking is available on-site, and pets are permitted. The elevation of the area supports year-round climbing, with prime conditions from January through December. A typical visit requires about four hours, making it a manageable half-day excursion. The moderate difficulty level and short height make it an efficient spot for practice or a quick session.
