Attica is a moderate, single-pitch traditional climbing route located in Cracked Canyon near Telluride on the Western Slope of Colorado. The route features a right-facing dihedral leading to a well-protected overhang, demanding technical finger cracks and hand jams. Climbers transition left and up through the overhang onto a ramp before reaching chains fixed below the lip. The approach is moderate but involves walking on loose, steep canyon floor, which can be challenging for dogs. Parking is available at the site, and the area is pet-friendly. The climbing season extends from January to December, with conditions generally favorable when the sun illuminates the canyon face. The route is suitable for a half-day outing, with an estimated duration of four hours including the approach and climb. Small gear placements are abundant, making nuts a key addition to the rack for this traditional style of climbing.
