About
The River Trail in Telluride is a 1.9-mile, easy-rated path that follows the San Miguel River through Uncompahgre National Forest. Starting near Station Telluride, it leads to Bridal Veil Falls, Colorado's tallest free-falling waterfall. The route is generally flat and well-maintained, making it suitable for families and casual walkers. Hikers pass Beaver Pond and Kid's Fishing Pond along the way. While mostly gentle, the final section near the falls includes steep parts and slippery rocks with steps, so sturdy footwear is recommended. The trail offers access to the river and views of surrounding 13,000-foot peaks. It is open year-round, though winter conditions may require caution. Parking is available at the trailhead.
