Big Creek Reservoir offers a moderate ice fishing experience at an elevation of 9800 feet on Grand Mesa. The reservoir is typically accessible from April through October, although the ice fishing season is shorter and depends on ice conditions. Visitors can expect to spend around 4 hours on the ice, and should be prepared for variable trail conditions and potential snow cover when accessing the reservoir. Parking is available near the reservoir, and pets are allowed to accompany their owners.
