About

Bioturbation is a 60-foot trad route on the Paleosol Wall in the Land's End Area of Grand Mesa, near Grand Junction. Rated 5.11-, it is a variation of the route Topographic Reversal. Climbers start by ascending the first 35 feet of Topographic Reversal to a hands roof. From there, traverse left using a tips crack rated C3 and slabby feet to reach a .0-1.5 inch splitter. The splitter protects well with #0.5 Camalots. Continue up to an unlikely jug at the roof lip, then climb the jugs above to a two-bolt anchor. The route may feel stiff for shorter climbers. Parking is available, and pets are allowed. The area is accessible year-round, though conditions vary.
