About

Bloody Corner is a sport climbing route located in Rifle Mountain Park, west of Denver. The wall features limestone from the Leadville formation and offers a left-leaning finger crack. The route is 70 feet tall and rated difficult, specifically around grade 5.10. Climbers consider the quality high because the rock is not heavily polished by shoe rubber, unlike some nearby routes. The wall is isolated and quiet, situated about 100 yards to the left of the Ruckman Cave bridge. Bloody Corner is the third route from the left on this wall, positioned just right of the 'Bovine Impact' route and above a large 10x10 foot boulder. Protection consists of seven bolts plus anchors. The bolt spacing is irregular, particularly around the fourth or fifth bolt, which requires attention during a fall. Parking is available on site. The location allows pets. Routes are accessible year-round, with the broader park seeing heavy traffic on weekends from May through September.
