The trail reaches an elevation of approximately 10,371 feet and is classified as moderate in difficulty. It is accessible year-round, though winter conditions may necessitate snowshoes or specialized gear. Parking is available near the trailhead, providing convenient access for hikers and runners. The area supports birding and offers views of the surrounding mountains, with peak foliage visible during fall colors. While the connector itself is short, it provides access to larger trail networks and nearby attractions such as Bear Creek Falls and the Alta Lakes ghost town.
