About

The Bridal Veil Trail in Telluride, Colorado, provides a moderate route to the base of Bridal Veil Falls, the state's tallest free-falling waterfall at 365 feet. The trail spans 0.99 miles with an elevation gain of approximately 3,009 feet and typically takes about two hours to complete. It serves as a newer alternative to the historic Bridal Veil Road, allowing hikers to access the falls without driving up the steep jeep road. The path is rocky, requiring appropriate hiking footwear, and includes creek crossings that may necessitate extra socks when water levels are high. The route is pet-friendly and offers parking. While the falls remain a year-round attraction, the trail is suitable for fall hiking from September through November. A historic power plant sits atop the falls, and connecting trails allow for longer excursions within the San Juan Mountains.
