The Buttermilk Mountain Summer Work Road is a dirt route in Aspen, Colorado, used for hiking, running, and mountain biking. The road connects the main ski area parking lot to the West Buttermilk ski lift. It is steep at times and classified as moderate or intermediate difficulty. The trail is approximately 3.4 miles long, with an elevation gain of about 1,507 feet, ranging from 8,361 to 9,868 feet. Riders can access the road from the base or connect via the Oregon Trail on the Tiehack side. The route passes the Cliffhouse Restaurant, which offers views of the Maroon Creek valley and Pyramid Peak. The road provides access to the Buttermilk Bowls singletrack trail. Parking is available at the base. The area is pet-friendly. The road is open from April through October.
