Castlewood Canyon State Park offers a moderate fall hiking experience, with trails that wind through a unique combination of prairie and canyon landscapes. The park's trails, which can be completed in approximately 2 hours, take hikers through wooded areas and along the creek that carved out the canyon over time. From September to November, the fall foliage is on display, with the changing leaves of the cottonwood and other deciduous trees adding to the scenic beauty of the area. Visitors can access the trails from the parking area and take advantage of the available restrooms, and pets are also permitted in the park.
