Channel Surfing is a 5.10a YDS sport, 60 ft (18 m) located in Estes Park Valley > Big Thompson Ca > Palisade Mountain > Skull Rock Area > Subskull. First ascent by D. Humphrey, K. Duncan. Channel Surfing has fun climbing up the water channel and face to anchors shared with Numbskulls. Scramble up easy rock to a short, right-angling crack (#0.5 Camalot). Lieback up the left-angling water channel until you can easily step up into it. Move up the groove, step right onto the face, and head up to the anchors. Protection: This is the rightmost of the bolted routes on the south-facing slab at the west end of Subskull. See the photo.
