Chapman Hill is a small, municipal ski area located in downtown Durango, Colorado. It offers approximately 500 feet of vertical drop across 7 acres of terrain. The facility is maintained with snowmaking and expert grooming, featuring two rope tows that serve skiers and snowboarders. A bumps course and a terrain park are available for varied riding styles. The ski area is classified as moderate in difficulty, making it suitable for learners and those seeking a relaxed experience. Operating hours vary by day, typically opening in December when snow conditions permit and closing when the snow melts. Ski lessons are offered for all ages and levels. On-site parking is available, and the facility allows pets on leashes. An adjacent ice rink provides public skating during winter and roller skating in summer, with concessions available at the pavilion. Uphill skinning is permitted on the perimeter road outside of operating hours and when the snowcat is active. The area aims to open in time for the Christmas holiday each season.
